Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee meets on a monthly basis and is active at all Association events, including the ever popular Network Hours. The Committee’s focus is to assist and encourage new members while promoting committee involvement. Committee members serve as liaisons between our new members and the Association’s staff and membership.
Civic Affairs Committee
The Civic Affairs Committee promotes worthwhile projects and endeavors that benefit the construction industry and the community, such as our Future Craftsman Program, Casey Cares Foundation, Boys Hope Girls Hope and other non-profit projects. The Civic Affairs Committee meets on a monthly basis.
Construction Technology Committee
The Construction Technology Committee provides resource referrals, technology educational programs, and correspondence (Bulletin articles, general information notices) to facilitate members’ development, maintenance and enhancement of information/data management systems applicable to the construction industry. The Construction Technology Committee meets monthly.
Craftsmanship Awards Committee
The Craftsmanship Committee meets 6–8 times per year. The Committee is solely responsible for the selection of our Annual Craftsmanship Award recipients. Nominations are received from construction related firms for individuals who have displayed quality and excellence in craftsmanship within their trade. The Committee performs on-site inspections of each project nominated and determines the top 20 award-winning craftsmen. Award winners are honored at the Annual Dinner & Craftsmanship Awards Program in November each year.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is an extremely active committee. Committee members solicit potential members while promoting the many benefits of Building Congress & Exchange membership. In addition, committee members are actively supportive of Network Hours, as well as other Association events. The Committee meets monthly.
Programs Committee
The Programs Committee’s primary responsibilities include planning and organizing the Association’s three major events; the Annual Shrimp & Bull Roast typically held in February, the Spring Golf Outing and the Fall Golf Tournament – The President’s Cup. The Committee meets prior to these events.
Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee helps to promote the projects and accomplishments of the Association. They support the Civic Affairs Committee’s endeavors and accomplishments, the Future Craftsman program, Craftsmanship Awards program, the BC&E Holiday Giving program, assists the Membership Committee by increasing the public’s awareness of BC&E, broadens the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and grants applicant/recipient pools and engages non participatory member firm’s marketing personnel. The Committee meets on a monthly basis.
