BC&E Committees
Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee is charged with growing and maintaining the Building Congress & Exchange’s membership. The Committee is responsible for promoting the BC&E mission and membership benefits. The committee connects with members and future members at BC&E Networking Events and Signature Events throughout the year and connects with members that have not been active to encourage BC&E involvement. This committee is also involved in planning BC&E’s events.
Craftsmanship Committee
The Craftsmanship Committee actively participates in the craftsmanship nomination and review process for BC&E’s signature Craftsmanship Awards program. Nominations are received from construction-related firms for craftsmen who have displayed superior quality and excellence. The Committee tours the work of each nominated craftsman and determines the top 20 award winners, who are honored at a ceremony each year in November.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee designs a plan by which the Building Congress & Exchange can manage its cash flow and bookkeeping and presents recommendations to the Executive Committee.
Foundation Gala Committee
The Gala Committee is responsible for creating the BC&E Foundation’s annual gala, which takes place the last Saturday in September. The committee is charged with securing sponsors and silent auction items, as well as assist in the overall planning of the event. All proceeds from the gala benefit the BC&E Foundation and its mission of building the future construction workforce.
Future Craftsmanship and Design Awards Committee
The Future Craftsmanship and Design Awards Committee actively participates in the process of determining the winners of a scholarship awarded to high school juniors interested in pursuing a future in construction-related career paths or further education in the industry. The committee interviews the finalists and names the top 3 award recipients. The students are honored for their achievements at the BC&E Annual Craftsmanship Awards in November.
Growth & Development Committee
The Growth & Development committee is responsible for creating the G&D Roundtable a newly formed initiative that brings members together to discuss core topics, offer tools and provide new approaches vital to the growth of their business. Each discussion, to include subject matter experts, is an informal gathering to allow for participants to ask questions, discuss issues and exchange ideas.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee oversees the Building Congress & Exchange Annual Election of Officers and Directors. The Committee’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the nomination process follows the Association’s Bylaws.
Programs Committee
The Programs committee is charged with helping create virtual and in-person events. Along with coordinating educational seminars relevant to the membership and industry. We are always looking for ways to enhance our virtual and in-person events.
