BC&E Committees
Craftsmanship Committee
The Craftsmanship Committee actively participates in the craftsmanship nomination and review process for BC&E’s signature Craftsmanship Awards. Nominations are received from construction-related firms for craftsmen who have displayed superior quality and excellence and for overall building projects. The Committee tours the work of each nomination and determines the top 20 award winners and overall building winners, who are all honored at a ceremony each year in November.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee designs a plan by which the Building Congress & Exchange can manage its cash flow and bookkeeping and presents financial recommendations to the Executive Committee.
Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is charged with helping create outstanding virtual and in-person events, including coordinating educational seminars relevant to the membership and industry.
Young Professionals Committee
The Young Professionals of the Building Congress & Exchange is a group of individuals in the construction industry focused on creating an environment for professionals under 40 to make connections and grow together, while also working to help advance construction in the 21st century. This includes educating young members on areas of construction outside their immediate job duties to help them better succeed professionally and individually, giving back to the community, providing mentorship from similar individuals, and increasing opportunities to make both social and professional connections.
Women Building Baltimore Committee
The Women Building Baltimore Committee is a collaborative community of female professionals representing all aspects of the construction industry. The group provides a welcoming and supportive platform that encourages relationship building, celebrates professional successes and empowers women to thrive in the industry.
