Building Congress & Exchange Foundation / Special Projects / Builders-In-Training Workshop

Builders-In-Training Workshop

As part of the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation’s mission to promote the future workforce of the construction industry, we launched the Builders-in-Training (BIT) Workshop in 2015. This workshop is designed to provide 9th and 10th-grade students with a hands-on introduction to various facets of the construction industry. Our goal is to ignite excitement about the field and showcase the many opportunities available within our multi-disciplinary industry.

Students from the Baltimore Metropolitan area get to participate in hands-on demonstrations led by BC&E Member companies representing different trades. This field trip offers them the chance to explore aspects of the industry they may not typically encounter in the classroom.

If your school is interested in attending or your company is interested in participating in our Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 BIT Workshop, please contact Mackenzie Gerrity, mgerrity@bcebaltimore.org.
