As a part of the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation’s primary mission to promote the future of the construction industry workforce, we started our Builders-in-Training (BIT) workshop in 2015. It was designed to give 9th and 10th grade high school students a hands-on approach to different facets of the construction industry. Our goal is to get students excited about the industry and how so many facets make up this multi-disciplined industry. Due to the pandemic, the last time we were able to have BIT Workshop was in 2019, but we are pleased to bring it back for Spring of 2023!
Students in the Baltimore Metropolitan area will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations from BC&E Member companies representing different trades. This field trip event gives them a chance to explore various aspects of the industry that they may not have had a chance to study.
If your school is interested in attending or your company is interested in participating, please contact Elisabeth Wainwright, email@example.com.
