Builders-In-Training Workshop

The Builders-in-Training (BIT) Workshop is one of the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation’s signature workforce development initiatives, created to inspire the next generation of construction professionals. Since launching in 2015, the program has introduced hundreds of high school students to the exciting, diverse career opportunities that make up the construction industry.
Through interactive, hands-on demonstrations led by BC&E member companies, students explore a variety of skilled trades, construction technologies, and career paths. This immersive experience gives them the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world applications while discovering professions they may have never considered.
Interested in getting involved?
If your school would like to attend a future BIT Workshop, or your company is interested in participating as a hands-on exhibitor for our 2026 or 2027 program, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Mackenzie Gerrity at mgerrity@bcebaltimore.org for more information.
